Choose the set count from the intended use
A 12-color set can support simple school, entry, promotional, or compact retail programs; 24 colors can broaden creative range without the footprint of a large set; 36 colors can support a wider palette and higher-positioned presentation. The final choice still depends on user, price position, pack, channel, and approved assortment.

Treat every color as a controlled SKU component
List color name or code, approved coloring reference, barrel or end identification, tray position, quantity per set, allowed substitution, and evidence. A count of 24 does not prove that the 24 required colors are present or consistently identified.

Keep core and body decisions independent from set size
Confirm color-core construction, diameter, centering, bonding, wood, body dimensions, finish, sharpening, breakage, coloring feel, coverage, intended paper, and sample. Increasing the set count should not silently change the approved pencil construction.

Compare packaging and quality on one basis
A 12-count paper box, 24-count tin, and 36-count tube are different products. Normalize tray, insert, box or tin, artwork, labels, barcode, accessories, pack dimensions, carton, testing request, inspection, freight, and delivery term before comparing quotations.

Which colored pencil set size is best for a private-label program?
Choose from intended user, color range, channel, price position, pack, shelf or shipping footprint, quantity, quality target, and approved assortment. There is no universally best set count.
Does a 24-color set contain exactly one of each color?
That is a common configuration but not an automatic rule. Record every included color, quantity per set, identity, sequence, substitution rule, and approved reference in the order specification.
How is the 100-carton MOQ applied to colored pencil sets?
Finished pencils: 100 cartons per style, with 2,880 pencils per carton (288,000 pencils per style). For mixed orders totaling more than 300 cartons, the minimum is 50 cartons per style (144,000 pencils). An order totaling exactly 300 cartons does not qualify for this exception. Order quantities and packing for pencil slats, boards, and unfinished pencil bodies are agreed separately by specification. Samples are for evaluating a planned production order; sample availability, quantity, cost, freight, and timing are confirmed separately.
