Length, diameter, and shape
Factory buyer guide
Specify blank pencils that are ready for your finishing route.
Plan blank wooden pencil body size, shape, core, surface, tolerance, eraser preparation, packing, and downstream branding before ordering.

Who this is for
Brands, promotional finishers, distributors, and downstream printing factories
Use this page to prepare one measurable specification and commercial basis before comparing suppliers.
01
Define the blank body
State the finished length, diameter, shape, wood route, core type, and core performance. A common 178 x 7 mm reference may not match every sharpener, ferrule, or retail program.
Graphite or color core
Hardness or color route
Wood and accepted finish
02
Match the downstream finish
Explain whether the blank will be painted, printed, foil stamped, dipped, fitted with an eraser, sharpened, or packed directly. Surface preparation and tolerances should support that next process.
Natural or prepared surface
Printing and coating route
Ferrule or eraser preparation
Sharpened or unsharpened delivery
03
Approve measurable quality
Record straightness, core centering, sharpening behavior, surface defects, length and diameter tolerance, count, and packing. Use a signed sample where visual judgment matters.
Core centering
Body straightness
Sharpening and breakage check
Visual acceptance sample
04
Protect the blanks in transit
Bulk blanks can be damaged by movement, moisture, pressure, and poor carton design. Confirm inner protection, quantity per pack, carton strength, marks, and pallet requirements.
Bundle and inner protection
Carton count and strength
Moisture and movement control
Shipping marks and pallet route
FAQ
Questions buyers should settle before production.
Can blank pencils be supplied without logos?
Yes. Natural or otherwise unbranded pencil bodies can be supplied for downstream branding or finishing, subject to the confirmed order specification.
Can blank pencils include erasers?
Eraser and ferrule requirements can be quoted, but the construction, color, dimensions, and downstream use should be confirmed before sampling.
