Create a unique SKU for every sellable difference
Separate product grade, core color range, body shape, finish, eraser, ferrule, sharpening, artwork, language, importer text, barcode, pack count, set arrangement, and destination when any difference changes production, inspection, inventory, or sale. Do not hide several configurations under one informal name.

Apply the minimum to every style before adding the order total
Finished pencils: 100 cartons per style, with 2,880 pencils per carton (288,000 pencils per style). For mixed orders totaling more than 300 cartons, the minimum is 50 cartons per style (144,000 pencils). An order totaling exactly 300 cartons does not qualify for this exception. Seven styles at 50 cartons each meet the quantity rule at 350 cartons; six styles at 50 cartons each do not meet it at exactly 300 cartons.

Define assortment rules inside each pack and carton
A mixed order contains multiple approved styles across the order. It does not automatically authorize multiple styles within one master carton. Confirm the exact retail set, inner pack, and master-carton composition in the quotation, and reconcile each finished-pencil carton to 2,880 physical pencils.

Protect identification through packing and logistics
Use approved color, grade, item, barcode, label, carton sequence, and pallet or loading identifiers. Define whether mixed cartons are allowed, how they are marked, where they appear in the packing list, and how the consignee will receive, scan, and put away each SKU.

Inspect assortment accuracy as a quantitative requirement
Sample cartons across SKUs and production runs. Verify product identity, counts, arrangement, artwork, labels, barcode, carton marks, and total reconciliation. Define the action for missing, extra, substituted, or mixed units and who can authorize repacking or shipment release.

How should mixed colored-pencil assortments be specified?
List every color or set variant, units per set or inner, arrangement, identification, pack artwork, barcode, cartons, total pieces, sample, and inspection rule.
How are assortment errors inspected?
